Jelly Belly Candy Company came to Boulder Blimp Company after a fruitless search for high impact promotion at their events, races and shows. They needed product and brand recognition that would help take them to the next level in their advertising and marketing campaign. Since Jelly Belly sponsors and attends a variety of sporting and regional events, they were looking for a tool that would create maximum impact on the thousands of consumers who attend these events. Boulder Blimp Company worked closely with Jelly Belly to establish their advertising objectives, determine the goals of their program, and to maximize their branding potential.
By collaborating with Jelly Belly, Boulder Blimp Company was able to develop a unique and exciting program that catered to Jelly Belly’s specialized needs. Our first creation was a 20′ Mr. Jelly Belly that towered above their event booth and placed Jelly Belly on the map. The inflatable drew such attention at Jelly Belly factory openings and events; they purchased additional Mr. Jelly Bellys. Our client now has a wide variety of inflatables to meet all of their promotional needs including a 15′ “flying” Mr. Jelly Belly that was suspended over their national candy exhibit. Their 5′ inflatables are used at their trade shows and even travel with the company RV. Our Boulder Blimp Company account executive continuously checks in with Jelly Belly to ensure that their inflatables are meeting their event and promotional needs, and generating the most success from their inflatable program. The president of Jelly Belly was so impressed with the performance of the inflatable fleet; he ordered a specially crafted, heavy-duty giant inflatable to sit atop their corporate headquarters.
Boulder Blimp Company continues to assist Jelly Belly in their advertising goals by creating customized and innovative ways to display their 8′ inflatables. Jelly Belly has also improved and updated their campaign by implementing a wide variety of interchangeable hats for the character. These hats have added cost-effective versatility to their inflatables, with holiday themes (Santa Claus, Bunny Ears, Uncle Sam), event-tailored themes (racing helmet for the off-shore boating races) and even regional specific hats (Wisconsin Cheesehead for their Wisconsin factory). The Jelly Belly inflatables create an air of memorable excitement and enthusiasm at events and they cement brand recognition and lasting impressions wherever they are seen.
