How To Avoid Common Mistakes when designing your inflatable?
We often have clients who come to us without an idea or concept and look to Boulder Blimp for help in designing their advertising inflatable. Often times clients have ideas or concepts that need to be tailored so we can make the concept work as an inflatable.
The best way to avoid problems when an inflatable is in the concept and design phase is to be flexible and realize that not every shape lends itself to an inflatable. This doesn’t mean your idea can’t be done, just that it may need to tweaked a bit so that it works as an inflatable.
It’s also helpful to have an idea on how it will be used – A hanging inflatable at an indoor trade show is quite a bit different than what is required for an inflatable to sit on a rooftop for long periods of time.
Most inflatables can be used in multiple different settings but we need to make sure we know so we can design it properly.
Another way to avoid issues is to provides us with your artwork and color choices early in the process so we can sketch your inflatable accordingly. We have a large choice of standard colors to choose from but if your inflatable require a specific PMS or pantone color we need to know – all blues, reds and green are not the same. Logos and graphic artwork needs to be provided in a vector format – .preferably ai or .eps type files. This ensures your logo is crisp and clear when we increase the many time over.
To ensure your project stays on schedule it’s best to provide as much info as possible, this allows us to create your mock to a high degree of accuracy with out having to design multiple renderings. Because we are dealing with large objects filled with air multiple changes to the design can be a much longer process to re-sketch than most would think.
We would love to help get your idea off the ground, give us a call or drop us an email an we can start designing you next inflatable today!
