What started as a humble sit-down restaurant called Panda Inn, which opened in Pasadena, CA in 1973, has now become America’s largest family-owned restaurant chain. The first Panda Express opened up in Glendale, CA in 1983 and the chain is still owned and run by the original husband and wife duo.
