Categorize Your Leads
Try to categorize your leads while they are fresh in your mind. Break them up into categories based on how interested you think each lead is in your product and/or service. Ones that seemed very interested are considers hot leads and need to be contacted right away. Those who were just window shopping but will need your product in the future may be considered a warm lead that could be cultivated over time.
Make Contact
Once you break your leads out into categories, consider making contact with them. You may wish to draft a personal e-mail to all of the hot leads. This e-mail can include details of any conversation you had with them to make it more genuine and personal. Warm leads should be followed up with as well. This can be more of a generic thank you e-mail but you should send it addressed to each individual person. If you have a large number of warm leads, consider using an e-mail marketing program to send out a branded thank you e-newsletter.
